Holiday Mini Session | Loudoun County Family Photographer

Merry Christmas, friends!  May your holidays sparkle with joy and laughter! This year I decided to hold my first round of  studio holiday mini session for children and it was a success!  It definitely put me in the holiday spirit! What is a Model Release? | Loudoun County Family Photographer

Let’s talk about model release and what it actually represents for you and me.  Most of the photographers require a signed contract after you  book a session, which includes a model release.  Me included. For photographers, posting images from our sessions is our way of advertising, and how we gain our clients. This is probably how you got here too! So in order for me to post your images on social media or on my website, I will need a signed model release. And, for every client who signs one, I am forever grateful! ⁠ ⁠ However, I do understand


The ‘Golden Hour’ – Loudoun County Family Photographer

Why I prefer to schedule sessions around sunset – Golden Hour Golden Hour is a pretty popular time of day for photographers to shoot. I’ll tell you what it is and why I prefer this time of day to others. You may or may not have noticed that all of my suggested time for an outside session is in the evening before sunset.  I do have some daytime sessions available for those who cannot make it during the evening.  I understand the concerns moms with little children have when they hear their session will take place an hour before sunset,
