- Shenandoah National Park – My most favorite. There are two spots that I really like. One of them is a grass field and the other is Tanner’s Ridge Overlook, which has the most amazing views of the mountains. Important Note: This location is 2 hours away from Leesburg and will require an additional travel cost. Another best thing about this location is that you can make a little getaway for your family and overnight at a local lodge. The lodging accommodation if you decide to stay for overnight: Big Meadows Lodge, Skyland Resort, Shenandoah River Cabin, Boar’s Head Resort Highlights
- Bears Den, Bluemont, VA
- Old Town Alexandria
